PLEASE NOTE & ADHERE TO THE FOLLOWING RULES:

 

  1. Entries in all classes must be received NO LATER THAN Friday 28th JULY 2023.
  2. All entries must be the bona-fide property of the exhibitor and in her or her possession at times of entry, but may be entered and exhibited by an intermediate member of the family.
  3. Persons making entries and failing to send exhibits shall forfeit all entry fees paid.
  4. An exhibit entered in a wrong class shall be excluded altogether and no alteration can be made in the Entry Form after it is received.
  5. The Show Committee shall not be responsible for loss or accident of any kind whichmay occur to exhibitors or visitors or otherwise.
  6. All Exhibits will be distinguished by NUMBER ONLY.
  7. Exhibits in Horse and Cattle Sections will be in the Show Paddock before 9.30a.m. All other exhibits must be in Exhibition Hall between 7.30pm and 9.30p.m. on Friday 4th August or before 9.30a.m. sharp on morning of Show 5th August 2023.
  8. The Committee shall not be responsible for any delivery of any exhibit at the Show or for its removal from the Show.
  9. Any act of discourtesy or trying to influence an official or judge, on the part of anowner or servant, shall disqualify the exhibit from being awarded a prize and also disqualify the exhibitor from competing at future Shows.
  10. No member shall act as judge or steward in any ring during adjudication who is anexhibitor, or no exhibitor shall be allowed to do likewise. Violation of this rule will entail disqualification.
  11. The Committee reserves the right to refuse any entry or to remove any animals from the Show Grounds.
  12. All first prizewinners in Horse Classes must parade for the Championship of the Show award, otherwise they forfeit their prize money.
  13. That NO EXHIBIT shall be permitted to be removed from the Exhibition Hall prior to 4.30p.m.
  14. No exhibitor is at liberty to move numbers on the stands in the hall without permission from stewards.
  15. All animals both bovine and equine to be led by competent adults only.
  16. All Cattle Exhibitors to display numbers clearly in the Ring.


 

I.S.A. Championships General Rules for 2023 Responsibility for Exhibitors:

  1. Exhibitors accept that the Judge's decision is final in all cases. Any abuse of Judges will not be tolerated. Where a dispute or case for complaint arises, the matter should only be dealt with under 6 below.
  2. Winners of Qualifiers are themselves responsible for entering their qualifiers (or exhibits) for the final in accordance with 10 & 11 above, within one hour of qualifying.
  3. Winners of qualifiers will compete in the final.
  4. The Irish Shows Association in conjunction with the sponsor reserve the right to alter or amend the rules of the competition as may be necessary where appropriate.
  5. Shows and competitors must contact the ISA for details of any championships and not the sponsor involved.
  6. Objections must be lodged in writing with the I.S.A. representative at the show and the Show Secretary within half an hour following the completion of judging, together with a fee of €50, or other stated fee, which is refundable in the event of the objection being upheld.
  7. Any exhibitor who makes a false declaration or misrepresents a fact regarding themselves or their exhibit are liable to disqualification and/or forfeiture of any prizes awarded.

The above rules are formed for the benefit and convenience of exhibitors and the general public. They will be rightly enforced. All objections must be handed in writing to the Secretary not later than 6.00p.m. on date of Show and must be accompanied by a deposit of €25 which shall be forfeited if the Committee find the objections frivolous. TheCommittee’s decision is final and binding and there shall be no appeal to a Court of Law. All entries are accepted on these conditions.
